This property is of historical interest. When first built in the eighteen hundreds the building was known as the Red House and was a local inn. At this time intrepid travellers stayed here before setting out to visit Staffa and Fingal’s Cave. It is thought that one of these travellers was Mendelssohn.
Today, the ground floor flat is a third of this substantially built, light green painted, stone building. The property is situated in the very centre of Tobermory and yet is off the Main Street. Rockburn is within a stones throw of the shops and the Tobermory Beach. The Post Office Brae path puts the highly regarded Tobermory Primary and High School only a short walk away.
There is a sitting room, a good sized kitchen, two bedrooms and an office/third bedroom.
A sheltered garden is on the east side.
Full details to be released soon.
